I’ve shared this picture across my various social media platforms and networks, and surprisingly, it hasn’t received much love. Very few people like it, and I can’t figure out why. Perhaps it’s because it has a bit of a haunting quality to it? After all, it does feature a dirt-stained, armless puppy doll.
My wife has been experimenting with different still-life setups in our garden, and this is one of her creations. I love it. Something about the thumbs-up gesture and the doll’s posture really speaks to me. It’s strange and a little unsettling but in the best way.
This image raises many questions: What happened to this doll? What child played with it before it ended up like this? Why is it stripped of clothing and left exposed to the elements? It has an aura of mystery that fuels my imagination and curiosity.
Even though it’s not getting the reaction I expected, I’m drawn to the narrative behind it. Perhaps it’s not for everyone, but I hope you’ll take a moment to consider
