Highgate Cemetery in London

Two days ago, i was at Highgate Cementary in Northern London. It’s maybe one of the strangest and most picture-friendly sights in Europe.

Highgate Cemetery was largely abandoned in 1920 and was overgrown and abandoned until the 1970:s when a group of volunteers took over and started to restore it. They have kept it in a half-overgrown state which is very beautiful.

Karl Marx, George Elliot, Henry Moore, George Michael, Douglas Adams, amongst others are buried there. Don’t miss it when you are in London!
