I have a dog named Nils, a Romanian street dog who’s starting to get on in years. Every day, we take one or two walks from a set of five different routes. Naturally, I’m always on the lookout for photo opportunities during these walks.
For the past two or three years, I’ve had an image in mind: the perfect framing of the trees, the bench, and people walking by. Yesterday, I finally captured it. Everything came together—the person, the light, the colors. I used the Leica M9 with a Summilux 40mm f/2 lens, which really brought out those creamy, rich tones.
